For our next monthly ride, we'll be heading back to Rock Creek Trail - in the other direction! Meet us in the store from 8 to 8:30 AM, after which we'll head out and start our ride by around 8:45 from the Canal. Heading South from Georgetown, we'll loop around the Lincoln Memorial and cross the bridge into VA to head back to the store via the Mt Vernon Trail. In total, the route will span approx. 5 miles, so we'll be taking it easy with this one! Expect some light pedestrian traffic around the Mall and getting onto the Memorial Bridge - good trail etiquette will be key! Be sure to bring water, and after the ride we'll have snacks and bevs available in the store. We look forward to seeing you there as we kick off the Fall season and enjoy the cooler weather.
For decades, RTC, its members and partners have advocated for investments in the infrastructure communities need to safely walk and bike where they live. Together, we’re sending a clear message to the nation’s decision-makers and elected leaders: Americans want active transportation networks where they live.
Our collective advocacy has translated into billions of dollars for trails, and innovative new policies and programs that make it easier to fund projects that connect trails and other walking and biking infrastructure. Today, our focus is on protecting and expanding those programs so that resources to connect the nation by trail are available and accessible to the entire country.
